Position Summary
The System Administrator is responsible for the management and maintenance of the company's system and network infrastructures and to ensure it is fully operational at all times. This will include, but is not limited to configuration, installation, monitoring, maintenance and troubleshooting of the infrastructure and all its ancillary services.
Responsibilities
Actively monitor and control the network and the server applications to ensure system infrastructure is fully operational 24/7.
Manages e-mail, active directory, file server, database applications, and other systems and services.
Provides user support and training
Responsible for anti-virus updates and requisition/renewal of software licenses
Manage the design, upgrade, and maintenance of onsite and offsite backup systems to prevent data loss.
Responsible for needs assessment, configuration and maintenance of all PCs, laptops, printers and other devices/peripherals
Must be willing to travel to support offices in San Pablo, Davao and potentially other locations within and outside the Philippines
Requirements
Minimum 2 years overall experience as a system/network administrator in a corporate environment
Minimum 2 years working experience with Windows 2003 servers, Terminal Servers, Web Server and/or FTP server
Working experience in managing and maintaining Kerio Mail Server or similar messaging environments
Basic working knowledge in accounting application systems (e.g. MS Dynamics GP, etc.)
Basic working experience in administering (configure/backup/restore) any version of MS SQL Server or other SQL database platforms
Must have advanced knowledge of network infrastructure including but not limited to configuring routers, switches, firewalls, VPN, and network configuration
Proficiency in TCP/IP networking on multi protocol, DHCP, DNS, Active Directory and LAN/WAN technologies
Basic knowledge in configuring and administering an IP telephone system
Working experience in administering centrally managed Antivirus and Backup servers.
Familiar with Websense Internet filtering server or similar content/web filter technologies
Experience in maintaining a corporate website using PHP/mySQL/Java or similar technologies
Proficient in different network and systems monitoring tools
Microsoft and/or Cisco Certification(s) is preferred but not required
Must be a team player willing to work with non-technical staff to do what is necessary to support the business
Must be honest, trustworthy and able to work independently
Understands technical issues and can leverage previous technical experience to solve technical problems
Must posses above average communication skills, be methodical and systematic with keen attention to details
Education: BS degree in computer engineering or computer science
