Franklin Baker & Sedex: Committed to Sustainable Business Practices

Franklin Baker - Sedex

Implementing responsible practices that demonstrate an importance placed in corporate social responsibility is an utmost priority for Franklin Baker Company of the Philippines. They value the trust placed by its customers, partners, and stakeholders to do business in an ethical and sustainable way. With this commitment in mind, Franklin Baker takes pride in being a Sedex member with its Sapphire Plant successfully completing its latest audit (SMETA) last July 2024.

Sedex Members Ethical Trade Audit (SMETA) is a certification process that seeks to ensure ethical business practices within supply chains. Conducted every two years, being SMETA certified means successfully completing the audit, with focus on Labor Standards, Health and Safety, The Environment, and Business Ethics.  This demonstrates Franklin Baker’s commitment to continuously seek growth and improve its operations, ensuring ethical and sustainable practices are implemented.

Sapphire Plant in San Pablo, Laguna is Franklin Baker’s oldest facility established in 1926. All three Franklin Baker facilities regularly undergo the Sedex audit as part of the company’s thrust to advance the company’s sustainability goals, recognizing its responsibility to its people, its partners and the environment.
